How to Request Deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of your Glu account and associated data from Layline Ventures.

  1. Email us at [email protected] with the subject: Delete my Glu account.
  2. In your email, include:
    • the email address used in Glu
    • your request to delete your account and associated data
  3. We may ask you to verify ownership of the account (for example, by replying from the same email address or confirming details from within the app).
  4. Once verified, we will process the deletion request and confirm by email when it is completed.

What Data Is Deleted

When your deletion request is completed, we delete or de-identify the following data from our active systems:

  • Account profile information (such as name and email)
  • App content you created (such as reminders, dose logs, weight entries, meals, water, activity, symptom notes, and related metadata)
  • App preferences/settings associated with your account
  • Any files you uploaded to the Services (if applicable)

What Data May Be Kept (and Why)

After deletion, we may retain limited information only as necessary for legal, security, and operational purposes. For example:

  • Security and abuse prevention: limited records needed to prevent fraud, detect abuse, and enforce our Terms.
  • Legal compliance: information required to comply with applicable laws, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.
  • Subscription-related records: we do not store full payment card details (payments are handled by Apple App Store / Google Play), but we may retain limited purchase or subscription identifiers/status information to operate the paid features and handle support.
  • Aggregated analytics: aggregated or de-identified data that no longer identifies you.

Retention Periods

  • Active systems: we aim to delete or de-identify your account data from our active systems within 30 days after we verify your request.
  • Backups: backup copies may persist for up to 90 days before being overwritten.
  • Limited retained records: where we must keep certain information for legal, security, or operational reasons, we retain it only for as long as necessary for those purposes.
